O apagamento do rótico no português brasileiro e no português europeu: o lido e o dito

Resumo

In this paper we analyze R-deletion process in Brazilian and European varieties, both in spontaneous speech and reading. The analysis makes use of sociolinguistic methodology (Labov, 1994) and the theory of prosodic hierarchy (Selkirk, 1994; Nespor & Vogel, 1986/2007) and shows that the phenomenon behaves differently in the two vareties.
