Sintaxe e semântica comparativas: abordagens atuais nos eixos sincrônico e diacrônico/ Comparative Syntax and Semantics: current approaches in the synchronic and diachronic axes

Abstract


Resumo: O objetivo do presente texto é o de oferecer um panorama das direções atuais de pesquisa em sintaxe e semântica comparativas, considerando um breve histórico das duas áreas e as suas tendências internacionais atuais. Uma vez que a Linguística Contrastiva ainda apresenta desenvolvimento relativamente incipiente nos espaços lusófonos, as principais correntes de pesquisa em sintaxe e semântica diacrônica são apresentadas nas vertentes formalista, funcionalista e variacionista, assim como os grupos de pesquisa que os representam, sobretudo no Brasil e em Portugal. Finalmente, descrevem-se as contribuições dos artigos que compõem o dossiê que acompanha o presente texto, assim como uma reflexão sobre os rumos que eles apontam para estudos futuros.

Abstract: The aim of this text is to offer an overview of current research directions in comparative syntax and semantics, considering a brief history of the two areas and their current international trends. As Contrastive Linguistics still presents relatively incipient development in Portuguese-speaking areas, the main paths of research in diachronic syntax and semantics are presented in the formalist, functionalist and variationist strands, as well as the research groups that represent them, especially in Brazil and Portugal. Finally, the contributions of the articles that make up the special issue that accompanies this text are described, as well as a reflection on the directions that they point for future studies.
